First I'm going to say AMAZON is awesome....I will explain.I am always reluctant to make third party purchases on Amazon. I really prefer to buy when it's free shipping and free returns, period!That being said, after hunting for a high chair for weeks for my grandson (and reading thousands of reviews until my head popped), I kept coming back to this. It had a majority of fantastic reviews, and the chair appeared it would meet MY needs.So, I bit my lip considering this was a pricey purchase...and ordered (also knowing it'd take a few weeks to receive it).I ordered the blue chair (paid a little more for the blue color pad).I received the BLACK chair/pad, in less than the three weeks - so delivery was actually great. However, it was NOT what I ordered.I contacted the company right away (because I knew I had to speak to them first, not Amazon...but I did actually mention it to Amazon when I spoke to them about another item...the very nice woman said she'd keep an eye on things to make sure they respond).It's obvious this company is on different time zones (countries), because my responses always came in the evening (not a problem for me).They were quick to contact me, asked me to take a picture of the box's code (which showed/confirmed they sent the wrong item).They apologized, offered to give me $10 if I kept the black chair/pad, but I did not want the black.They then provided the return shipping label and offered for me to keep the chair/black pad to use in the meantime and they could ship me the blue pad which would take approx three weeks. I agreed to this.At three weeks I checked back in with them. They indicated they needed to receive it from their warehouse that had weather issues. Okay, so I do understand weather issues everywhere. They assured me it should just be a few more days.Almost two weeks later, I'm finally thinking I should contact Amazon for help. However, I didn't need to.Amazon contacted me. They told me they thought it was taking too long, so they had already sent an inquiry to the company (LOVE AMAZON).Within TWO days, the blue cushion arrived! Would it have anyways...I dunno, but...it arrived.I will say, whenever I wrote this company, they would always respond back by the evening (closed on weekends).They were always kind, and kept offering to give me $5-$10 for my inconvenience...which I didn't take because I wanted the blue cushion most of all.So, would I order from them again...yes, actually I would. Why?.....-Because they were good about contact, and they did issue me a return label in the beginning.-Because Amazon also stood behind me and took the initiative themselves to inquire, stood behind good customer service.-Because I LOVE this high chair -- it's exactly what I wanted, meets my needs...which are:EASY to clean everywhere!EASY to move the tray with one hand (not a deal breaker for me tho). Tray is also super easy to clean (pop off the top to clean, while leaving behind a tray for my grandson to play), and I LOVE there are no cup holders (seriously they are never used, more of a pain to clean and for young children they usually do not place cups correctly causing a spill anyways).EASY to move around with the wheels on the back, NOT heavy at all.Easy to fold and store (perfect as my grandson is only here a few days a week).All the different height features are great, as well as the adjustable foot rest which is actually important as they grow.Every feature it shows it has, is fantastic...and meets MY needs.So, one star taken away for the delay on receiving the replacement cushion until Amazon stepped in. In hindsight it should have been shipped sooner.However, although I still prefer free shipping and free returns, period with no questions asked....Amazon actually made me feel a tad more comfortable with ordering from third parties as they seem to have your back in the end (although I still would absolutely read reviews first).So, I do absolutely recommend this highchair, I'm very happy with it.Hopefully, my issue with the order was just random.I do truly believe the company wanted me to be a satisfied customer.I did a lot of research before buying this highchair. It has a lot of bells and whistles like the more expensive highchairs, but for about half of the price. I did end up returning this highchair after careful consideration. Let me first tell you about what I really liked about this highchair!Pros:-It is very adjustable. It can be reclined into multiple positions as well as the height being adjustable.-It folds up for storage.-The tray has a cover for easier cleaning.-The chair itself can be removed and used as a floor seat or a booster seat on a kitchen chair.-The material is some kind of pleatherette that makes wiping it down a breeze.-It has a 5 point harness with adjustable straps.-The chair has a foot rest for baby. The seat is well cushioned. Both of these allow for comfier meal times for baby.-The support that goes between the baby's legs is attached to the seat itself and not the tray. I personally prefer this piece to be attached to the chair and not the tray. I've noticed that with other highchairs that have that piece connected to the tray, that it can make it difficult to get the tray close enough to baby. Some people may prefer the center leg piece being attached to the tray though. That makes it easier to slide baby right up to the table when you are done using the tray itself.-The tray is fairly large.Now, I am sure you are thinking "what is not to love about this highchair?" Let me tell you about the deciding factors of why I returned this highchair.Cons:-The frame is not as sturdy as I would like for my baby's highchair to be. For a younger baby, this shouldn't be an issue. However, an older child can figure out how to hop around in this highchair. When you apply weight to this highchair, the legs push outward. That being said, an older child could hop up and down on their bum making this highchair hop around your dining room. I tested this with my cousin's daughter and she figured it out on her own within minutes-The tray is not very adjustable. It only has 2 positions; far away and very far away. When I put the tray on its closest setting, it sat at least 6" away from my 9 month old's stomach. All of her food dropped right onto her lap.-The tray does not slide on like most highchairs. Instead, it has a rod on each side that has to be inserted into the arms. This is not easy to do with one arm while holding your baby with your other arm.-The tray does not have a cup holder. This wasn't a total deal breaker for me, but worth mentioning.-Although this highchair does fold up for storage, it is one of the largest folding highchairs I have ever seen.-The wheels are pretty much useless. I had to physically pick this highchair up and move it around. Just going back and forth was pretty difficult, but forget turning side to side!-After reclining the back of the chair, my husband and I almost always had difficulty getting it back up. It felt like something would jam when trying to push it back up. This may have been something defective with that specific chair that we received.-The foot rest is not really adjustable. There is no way to move the foot piece up closer for smaller babies.I do not recommend this highchair, but I wouldn't say it is the worst one out there. It has a lot of good things going for it, but unfortunately, it was not going to work for our baby. For us, the cons outweighed the pros and we returned it. If you do purchase this highchair, make sure you keep the original box in good condition just in case you do have to return. Also, keep in mind that this is not sold or fulfilled by Amazon so you will have to go directly through the seller to return it. The return process wasn't incredibly difficult. The seller just didn't want me to return it to "avoid damage to packaging upon return arrival and to avoid excessive return shipping fees". They did offer to give me a partial refund and to let me just keep the highchair. However, I politely declined because as I mentioned before, this highchair was not going to work for us. They emailed me a prepaid shipping label that I printed and taped to the box. I then dropped the package off at UPS and the seller processed my refund the next day. The refund went back on my card a few days later. The customer service was decent and fairly quick.I spent way too long doing research to find the right highchair. I hope my review helps to save you some time in making your decision!I love this high chair! The only thing that I can say could be improved is how far away the tray is even at the closest setting.I would like to correct a prior rating of 2 stars, lets just say it wasn't the chair ?. I love this chair, I give it 5 stars, and would highly recommend it to others. It's everything I and my granddaughter needed. It's easy to clean, to maneuver, to assemble and store.I love this overall; my son's speech therapist has one she uses with him, and I specifically ordered it because my son is very tall for his age and this high chair was bigger compared to the one we had. Its great aside from when I need to move him, it doesn't slide or glide well at all which makes the base seem unsturdy during movement. Its like the front stays still while the back tries to move forward....that's my only complaint.I just bought this high chair as a replacement for my Joovy Nook (which my son just broke after 2.5+ years of daily use). They have similar looks/colors, and are similarly priced, and I would say that is where the similarities end.Compared to my Joovy Nook, this high chair feels so wobbly and unstable. It slides around the floor much too easily. It looks nice and has some nice features, but I don't know if it will survive actual children. I feel like my 12 month old will easily tip it over if he does his usual rocking around in the high chair with this.I do like that the height of the seat is adjustable. I like the trays. It is fairly easy to clean with minimal spaces for food to get permanently stuck. It's nice that it is convertible into a booster seat for toddler mealtimes.It does not fold down nearly as nicely as the Joovy Nook, nor does it seem like it will be as durable as the Joovy. I am really leaning towards returning this and getting another Joovy Nook instead.
