I got these for my son 4 years ago. Since then they’ve been his most used toy. We’ve played the lava game, walked on them, thrown them, sat on them, made ramps and jumps with them. We even built with them. You name it, we’ve done it with these blocks. After four years of getting trashed we decided to buy some new blocks. When I say trashed I mean it, but even then they had plenty of life left, but were getting a bit deformed by them. I wasn’t sure which blocks I bought originally and didn’t think it would matter so I bought another VERY popular brand. They have a whole line of kids products so I figured it’d be a safe bet. Nope. Trash. These are thicker, easier to assemble and much more durable the way they’re assembled. I would not look anywhere else. Another review said they’re thinner than they used to be, I don’t know if that’s true or not, as the ones I bought were nice and thick for kids blocks, not like what I just purchased.Purchased for my 2 year old granddaughter’s birthday. Took awhile to assemble but definitely worth it! Not sure who plays with them more my granddaughter or my 4 year old grandson! They are definitely enjoying them. They have been tossed, kicked, walked on - they can take a lickin’!Awesome building blocks for kids.... Assembly is pretty simple - took me about an hour and a half to assemble all blocks and I added a little piece of tape on the tab that you fold over to keep the rectangle in place. Probably not necessary but easy modification that ensures sturdiness in my mind!I'm impressed with these blocks and if I had more space, I'd buy around 10 sets cuz they are awesome for kids's imagination and creativity!!!!!Awesome blocks for toddlers and pre K kids. They stack and balance well. Lightweight, so you don't have to worry about kids getting hurt when tall towers fall.Worth the money!I also bought some Melissa and Doug blocks and was disappointed. First time I’ve been disappointed in one of their products. The Edushape boxes were much stronger and simple to assemble in comparison to the Melissa and Doug blocks. The Edushape Boxes were a win all the way around.I bought this LARGE set of blocks to have at my house when the grandkids come over, and was pleased to see they are every bit as durable as the ones we had for years when our own kids were little, BUT..... I would rather have selected a package with all large blocks rather than this one with the combination of sizes. As kids like to do, my grandkids want to build towers as high as the sky, and there just aren't enough large ones in this collecion to do that. I'm going to have to buy more large blocks now.We had a set of these (or something very similar) when my kids were little and they survived for years, so I bought these for my granddaughter. Once assembled, they are very sturdy. I can stand on them and they hold up fine. Fun to build with (and knock down of course).A hit with my 2 grandsons safe and durableThese are poor and overpriced they come open easily and my three year old soon worked out how to undo them himselfGreat quality. Our 2.5 year old son loves climbing on them and building them up to run through them.
