I spent days looking for a small play mat that was actually high quality without being $250+ dollars. It also fit into the small play pen we were looking at which was hard to find a fit for. Our baby has been rolling both ways on this mat on hard woods and thin rugs, and it’s cushioned him super well. Yes, there are some wrinkles in it when you get it, but those haven’t been an issue for us. Happy I took a chance and bought this!My baby loves it! Because of how thick the blanket was, we thought it was making it harder for her to roll. We wanted to purchase the Gather brand mat but decided it was too expensive so we decided to go with this option and it hasn't disappointed. She plays on it every day and now that she is independently sitting, when she falls over she doesn't cry.
